Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of E-Recruitment and Competence on Interest in Applying for Jobs in Generation Z in the city of Bandung. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive and verifiable approach. The population in this study is Generation Z aged 18-29 years in the city of Bandung who have not worked but have made efforts to apply for jobs through the e-recruitment system. The research sample amounted to 385 respondents who were determined using the Lemeshow formula with a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire measured on the Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and verifiable analysis with the help of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 21, including validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, and determination coefficient test. The results of the study show that partially E-Recruitment has a positive and significant effect on Interest in Applying for a Job, as well as Competence which has a positive and significant effect on Interest in Applying for a Job. Simultaneously, E-Recruitment and Competencies together have a significant effect on Interest in Applying for Jobs in Generation Z in the city of Bandung. The determination coefficient value of 0.517 or 51.7% shows that the E-Recruitment and Competency variables are able to explain the variation in Job Application Interest by 51.7%.
