Abstract
The existence of school library is one of government policy in supporting learning process. One of the functions of the school library as a link between the library user and the information sources, either in printed form or in any other form. Therefore, the collection development is needed in support of the availability of quality collection of the latest and relevant. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. As for the purpose in this research is to know the policy, strategy, supporting factors, obstacle factors and the school library’s efforts to anticipate the obstacles that arise in the collection development of school library to increase students reading interest. In general the collection development of school library to increase students reading interest at the junior high school library has been implemented, all parties work together to succeed implementation the collection development of school library,so the need for library book collection can be fulfilled.
