Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the activities of the implementation of industrial work practices (prakerin) SMK YPIB Tanjungsari Sumedang Regency and determine the response of the Business World / Industrial World (DUDI) to the competence of students at the time of the implementation of the SMK YPIB Tanjungsari in Sumedang Regency. This type of research is qualitative which produces descriptive data. The research was conducted at SMK YPIB Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency and DUDI as a pre-engineering partner institution. Data collection is done by document analysis, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis is carried out inductively. The results showed: 1) the implementation of industrial work practices in SMK YPIB Tanjungsari Sumedang Regency managed by the working group (Pokja) apprenticeship in charge of preparing all administrative tools needed for the implementation of internship; 2) the implementation of the internship is carried out in four stages, the first stage is preparation, the second briefing, the third implementation, the fourth withdrawal and evaluation; 3) DUDI's response to the implementation of the YTPIB Tanjungsari Vocational Training prakerin of Sumedang Regency Keywords: Management prakerin, Graduates Competence
