Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work motivation and work discipline on employee productivity in the Sewing Department of PT Trimas Sarana Garment Industry, Bandung. Employee productivity is a crucial focus in ensuring the company’s long-term goals. Good work motivation and a high level of work discipline are believed to contribute to achieving higher employee productivity. The research employed a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative analysis. The sample consisted of 159 permanent employees in the sewing department, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and processed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27, applying multiple linear regression analysis. The research included validity tests, reliability tests and classical assumption tests The findings reveal that, partially, work motivation does not have a significant effect on employee productivity, while work discipline has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, work motivation and work discipline significantly affect employee productivity with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.692 or 69.2%, which means that both variables are able to explain employee productivity by 69.2%.
