Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Work Stress and Work Motivation on the Performance of Bluebird Taxi Drivers in the Bluebird Pool Community, Cawang, East Jakarta. Performance is defined as the drivers’ work results that reflect their ability, punctuality, productivity, and professionalism in serving passengers. Work stress refers to psychological and physical pressure caused by excessive job demands, high workloads, and limited time, which can reduce focus and work enthusiasm. Work motivation is the internal and external drive that influences an individual’s desire to work optimally and achieve the best results. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive and verificative approach. The study population consists of 100 Bluebird taxi drivers, all of whom were used as samples through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and then analyzed using SPSS version 24 through multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests (t-test and F-test). The results show that Work Stress has a negative and significant effect on Performance, while Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously. A high level of work stress decreases driver performance, whereas high work motivation increases enthusiasm and productivity. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.688 indicates that Work Stress and Work Motivation together explain 68.8% of the variation in Driver Performance. Keywords: Job Stress, Performance, Work Motivation
