Abstract

Employee performance is the result achieved by individuals in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the standards set by the organization. This study aims to determine the effect of Workload and Emotional Intelligence on Employee Performance in the Sales division at Tunas Toyota Kiaracondong. This research uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The sampling technique used is the saturated sampling method, in which the entire population is used as the sample, totaling 38 respondents. The results of the study and hypothesis testing using the partial test (t-test) show that the t-count value for the Workload variable (X1) is 3.725 and for the Emotional Intelligence variable (X2) is 15.659, both greater than the t-table value of 1.689. This indicates that Workload and Emotional Intelligence (independent variables) have a significant effect on Employee Performance (dependent variable) in the Sales division at Tunas Toyota Kiaracondong. Simultaneously, the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 75.3%, meaning that Workload and Emotional Intelligence influence Employee Performance, while the remaining 24.7% is influenced by other factors outside this study, such as Work Motivation, Leadership Style, Work Environment, Job Satisfaction, or other relevant external variables that were not examined in this research.
